SCD Information Technology is currently seeking full-time Systems Administrator levels 1, 2, and 3 to join our dynamic and growing team. SCDIT has been supporting a large Intelligence Community agency as a prime and subcontractor for nearly three decades and we are searching for cleared, well-qualified systems administrators to fill many open positions. Description:
Systems Administrators are responsible for the installation, maintenance, optimization, and operation of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and other computer systems and network infrastructure, by troubleshooting issues, managing user access, and ensuring system security and compliance. SAs install antivirus or malware protection software, respond to employee concerns, draft documents to help employees use computer systems and coordinate with customers to determine new technologies that could enhance computer systems.

Responsibilities might include but are not limited to:

• Setting up new users and giving them access to approved applications and systems.
• Managing and maintaining the file servers.
• Operating the firewall for the organization.
• Install antivirus and malware protection software.
• Monitoring systems for vulnerabilities and security risks, patch them as needed, and report as required.
• Employing the latest security protocols.
• Monitoring multiple networks including local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN) for threats or errors.
• Perform troubleshooting and provide hardware and software support.
• Plan, rebuild, and reconfigure multiple networks using preferred framework.
• Manage and deploy multiple technologies, including computers, network, and telephony devices.
• Create, maintain, and follow Standard Operating Procedures.
• Develop and maintain Disaster Recovery Plans and Impact Analyses.

Experience and Qualifications: 

• An active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical related discipline from an accredited college or university plus five (5) – 10+ years of systems administrator experience. Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
• CWIP IAT Level 1 certification (or higher for SysAdmin Level 2).
• CompTIA Security+ certification.
• Must have one of the following certifications: A+, Network+ or SSCP.

Desired Skills (one or more of the following):

• STE/STN Experience
• CWIP IAT Level 2 certification
• ​​​​​​​Familiarity with Big Fix Familiarity with Ansible
• Experience with MS Azure Cloud Services
• Familiarity with SQL Server and its administration
• Familiarity with security principles including authentication mechanisms
• Knowledge of C#, ASP.NET, and .NET Framework, jQuery, SQL Server, and Web Services
