We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated System Administrator with a TS/SCI with an active Polygraph clearance to support our sensitive compartmented information facility.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both system and networking administration, possess a Security+ certification, and demonstrate experience in creating SOPs, documenting issues and solutions, and collaborating with a team. The successful candidate will work closely with an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to maintain and update the security posture.
Responsibilities:
- System Administration:
- Manage and administer systems within the SCIF, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security.
- Implement, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software components.
- Networking Administration:
- Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure to support operations.
- Troubleshoot network issues and optimize performance.
- Security Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with security policies, IAVA's (Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts), and other relevant standards.
- Collaborate with the ISSO to update and enhance the security posture.
- Documentation:
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for system and network administration tasks.
- Document issues, solutions, and configurations for reference and auditing purposes.
- Patch Management:
- Plan and execute patch management processes to maintain system security and integrity.
- Stay current on security patches and updates relevant to SCIF systems.
- Telecommunications:
- Manage and troubleshoot telephone systems within the SCIF, ensuring connectivity and functionality.
- Automation and Scripting:
- Utilize scripting languages, with a preference for Python, to automate repetitive tasks and improve operational efficiency.
- Implement automation processes for system and network management.
- Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with a team of IT professionals to address complex issues and projects.
- Communicate effectively with the ISSO and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with security objectives.
Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI with active Polygraph clearance is mandatory.
- Security+ certification is required.
- Proven experience in system and networking administration.
- Familiarity with security compliance standards and IAVA processes.
- Proficiency in scripting languages
- Experience with patch management, telecommunications, and government operations.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
