SCD Information Technology is currently seeking a full-time Chinese-Mandarin Linguist.

**Requires an ACTIVE Top Secret Clearance with Polygraph**

Key Responsibilities:

• The Language Analyst will transcribe Chinese-Mandarin into written Chinese-Mandarin using the traditional script.
• Linguists must be able to translate written Chinese-Mandarin into written English summaries, gists, extracts, and verbatim translations while ensuring the use of grammatically and idiomatically correct American English
• Linguists must be able to transcribe audio Chinese-Mandarin into written Chinese-Mandarin using the traditional script.
• Must be able to translate written Chinese-Mandarin into written English summaries, gists, extracts, and verbatim translations while ensuring the use of grammatically and idiomatically correct American English.
• Will require the ability to scan and process large amounts of material in the target language and identify critical and essential elements of information as defined by the government.
• The candidate will be responsible for providing input to government counterparts by producing written reports developed from target language material

Requirements:

• Active TS/SCI Clearance and Polygraph
• 4 yrs full-time experience or 6 without a degree
• Associate’s degree or 2 additional yrs of work experience
• ILR Skill Level 3 in Audio or Graphic
• 4 years performing crypto language processing
• 2 yrs primary duty: translating, transcribing, and/or gisting
• No more than 1 of 4 yrs reporting as a primary duty
• 2 of 4 yrs experience has to be within 4 yrs of resume submission
