SCD Information Technology is currently seeking a full-time System Administrator 2 to join our team in Columbia, MD.

Description:

• Work on a fast-paced team of system administrators providing support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems for critical enterprise applications Manages IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems. Provides support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all the client, server, storage, network devices, etc. Provides Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems Configures and manages UNIX and Windows operating systems, installs and loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity and configures network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.

Qualifications:

• Ten (10) years experience as a System Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope. 

• A bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree 

• Familiarity with PowerShell and Bash scripting languages Experience with system hardening Experience working with ISSOs for system compliance DoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level I is required.

• TS/SCI w/ Polygraph

• Familiarity with Big Fix Familiarity with Ansible
