We are seeking a skilled and proactive Systems Administrator I to support and maintain the IT infrastructure, ensuring high levels of availability, performance, and security. This mid-level position is ideal for a candidate with strong technical knowledge, excellent troubleshooting skills, and experience supporting server environments, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise systems. This position is an off-site role with 100% travel.
Responsibilities:
Install, configure, maintain comp sys, servers, & NW equip
Monitor sys performance & troubleshoot SW, HW & NW issues.
Manage user accounts, permissions, & access controls.
Implement & enforce sec protocols, including firewalls, backups, & IDS
Perform regular sys updates, patches, & upgrades to improve functionality & security
Develop & maintain disaster recovery & data backup procedures
Provide tech spt & train end-users, address IT-related problems
Document sys configurations, policies, & maintenance procedures
Collaborate w/vendors & other IT professionals for sys improvements & implementations. Document sys configurations, changes, & SOP
Exp w/virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
Proficiency in MS Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, & O365
Familiarity w/cloud svcs (Azure) & hybrid cloud env.
Strong knowledge of NW fundamentals (TCP/IP), DNS, DNCP, VPN)
Exp w/backup disaster recovery & endpoint protection solutions.
Ability to work independently & collab in a fast env.
AWS/Azure certifications are a plus.
Knowledge of ITIL practices.
Familiarity with endpoint management tools (e.g., SCCM, Intune, JAMF).
Scripting and automation experience (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python).
Participation in on-call rotation.
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field—or equivalent experience.
CompTIA A+, Network+, and Security +.
5-7 years of experience in System Administration in a mixed (Windows/Mac) environment.
Participation in after hours on-call rotation.
