SCDIT is seeking a skilled Network Engineer 1 (NE1) and Network Engineer 2 (NE2) with a strong understanding of networking fundamentals, protocols, and technologies to join our dynamic and growing team. The Network Engineers will support a key contract that supports a large Intelligence Community agency.

A Network Engineer designs, implements, and maintains an organization's computer network, ensuring it functions reliably and securely. They are responsible for building, configuring, and troubleshooting network infrastructure, including hardware and software, and addressing any connectivity issues. Additionally, they may work on network security, implementing firewalls, and other security measures to protect data and systems.

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Designing and implementing local and wide area networks (LANs and WANs) to meet the organization's specific needs.
- Configuring and maintaining network devices like routers, switches, firewalls, and other network equipment.
- Documenting network configurations and changes to maintain a clear record of the infrastructure.
- Diagnosing and resolving network issues, such as slow speeds, connectivity problems, or security breaches.
- Monitoring network performance to identify potential issues and ensure optimal network operation.
- Installing software updates, patching vulnerabilities, and replacing or upgrading network hardware as needed.
- Implementing and maintaining network security measures, such as firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
- Performing regular backups of network data and configuring recovery procedures in case of system failures.
- Active TOP SECRET/SCI with Polygraph Security Clearance
- NE1: Two (2) to four (4) years’ experience in a networking environment.
- NE2: A minimum of four (4) years’ experience in a networking environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
- NE1: CCNA or Network+ certification desired.
- NE2: CCNA or Network+ certification required.
