SCD Information Technology (SCDIT) is seeking a cleared Document Specialist to support a Security and Counterintelligence (S&CI) customer at a large Intelligence Community agency.

SCDIT serves as the prime contractor for a project to convert manually stored hardcopy files into indexed electronic files to support a Security and Counterintelligence (S&CI) customer. The scope also includes document and form printing, providing clerking support for file retrieval and storage, and managing mail organization, distribution, and filing. Additionally, the document scanning and indexing is provided at two locations, while printing and clerking services are exclusively offered at the main site. The Places of Performance include Annapolis Junction and Fort Meade, MD.

Description:
The Document Specialist serves in one to three roles on the contract. The roles include clerking, printing, and scanning. Generally, Document Specialists open/sort mail and retrieve/return files, pull/print documents and forms, and prepare/scan/index files.

Responsibilities:
The responsibilities for each role include, but are not limited to:

Clerking
  • Retrieve physical files as requested and log the requests.
  • Collect and sort mail, and distribute it for scanning, and file it in date order in the physical files once scanned.
  • Manage file room organization, process archive requests, and transfer inactive files to storage.
  • Support customer requests as needed.
Printing
  • Assist with pulling and printing Electronic Questionnaires for Investigations Processing (eQUIP), or Standard Form (SF) 86, associated security forms and Credit Bureau Reports (CBRs) based upon the Human Resources Data Sheets (HRDS), or draft Sponsorship Letter assigned.
  • Pull and print appropriate documentation for each case.
  • Perform quality checks for each package to ensure that all pages are included and that all can be clearly read and nothing is missing from the request.
  • Deliver the package to the appropriate point of contact.
  • Assist with clerking tasks as needed.
Scanning
  • Scan a variety of hardcopy documents using the customer's proprietary scanning machines and workflow system.
  • Prepare documents to be scanned including tasks such as removing folders from storage, detaching paper clips and staples, extracting pages from dossiers and notebooks, and inserting separator sheets.
  • Ensure blank pages are deleted, errors are corrected, pages are re-scanned as necessary, and appropriate labels are applied. Reconstruct each file after scanning.
  • Keep a summary of all documents scanned for inclusion in larger report.
  • Assist with clerking tasks as needed.

Qualifications
  • An Active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of two (2) years’ experience with basic office resources such as email and web browsers, and Microsoft applications including Word, Outlook, and Excel. Basic level experience is required, but intermediate level in some or all is ideal.
  • Must be comfortable sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to perform tasks that involve repetitive motion of the fingers, hand, arms, feet, legs, or other body parts.
  • Must be able to move boxes that weigh up to 25 pounds.

Salary Range:  $56,000 - 59,000
